Screen-printing, the definition: Also known as silk screening (the industry stopped using silk long ago!), the ink is pushed through a mesh screen with a squeegee onto the shirt or other substrate. The screen is coated with an emulsion that fills the holes of the screen, and an image is "burned" or deducted from the emulsion - the result is the ink only passes through the screen where the original image existed, much like a stencil.

Screen-printing Apparel: While the set up for screen-printing may be time consuming depending on the complexity of the artwork involved, the actual time it takes to print a t-shirt is relatively short. This makes screen-printing an affordable option for larger apparel orders.
